Love the lobster rolls and clam chowder. I’ve eaten there several times always have good service. I do not like the plastic utensils especially if you trying to eat soup with a plastic teaspoon.
I eat there several times a month. Love the simplicity of it. Love the chicken salad and also the potato salad. BUT, I took a friend there today and she LOVES tuna salad. I tasted it and had to admit, it was BAD. Fishy, nothing but a little mayo and nothing else. Tuna needs to be a better brand, drained, celery, onion, some crunch. Thanks.
The best bacon and tomato grilled cheese sandwich I have had thus far! Everything is great, including the service. This place is one of Mt. Dora's little gem!
had the lobster roll. so Fresh and i like that they gave me the sides to put on as i pleased. nice, friendly service. already recommend and plan to go back.
Very friendly staff and super duper milkshakes!!!
After enjoying walking around the quaint town of Mt Dora. We stopped by the Let's Do restaurant for lunch. What a great choice for an excellent bite to eat. The restaurant is located in an historic building. The decorators' decisions were thought through with period correct advertising and vintage signs on the walls. The staff was friendly and the place was clean. My wife and I ordered the lobster roll. As you can see from the pics the rolls were loaded with lobster. The sides with your lunch are varied and the choices are many. Highly recommend you give this place a visit!
Food was amazing! Waiters we're gorgeous & polite!
A good icecream spot in a cool place.
Great little place to grab a light bite! The offer lobster rolls, hot dogs, and chicken salad rolls! I really enjoyed the lobster roll on the New England style roll.
Lobster roll.
Very expensive for the amount of food you receive. It tasted good.
Great little shop for lobster roll, NE style. The double scoop would be great but for over $20, not in the cards for every day lunch.
Delicious lobster roll. Doesn't look like much but so worth it. Even the potato salad was worth eating.
The ultimate "Fresh" lobster on the roll and an ample amount. it was delicious...the clam chowder was very fresh also..the best I have had in quite some time.. the server Beck was very busy but managed to check on us several times and with a smile..well worth the drive to Mt. Dora. We will be back
I stopped here after hiking through Mount Dora. I did not read the poor reviews. I ordered to go a lobster roll with a side of potato salad. With tax it came to about $17. The portion was small, but tasty. Not like Maine. But not terrible either. The potato salad was homemade. The server was pleasant
Awesome little place. Service is quick, friendly and inviting. The owner, Kathryn is a great host. She makes you feel like home. 1st visit to Mount Dora and "Let's Do." We are definitely making it a routine stop on every revisit. "Let's Do" it again for sure ..
The service is great. The restaurant is clean, neat and cozy. The lobster rolls were very good for central Florida. Critics are so unfair and unrealistic. Expectations must be relative to location. I think the price is fair for the portion. Don't order the double meat, it wasn't actually double what my husband had on his bread so I regretted the upgrade. The potato salad is unremarkable but not awful. It's palatable, sprinkled with herbs and a little salt brings out the flavor. The chowder had little bits of clams and was ordinary. It wasn't think as I would want it to be but overall it satisfied me. The buttery toasted bread roll was the highlight. They perfected this and it complimented the lobster roll. I would come again next time I have a lobster roll craving.
This place is good. We went on a day a seafood festival was going on so this small place seemed overwhelmed. Will definitely go again when it's not so busy!
If you are expecting to enjoy lobster roll, don't buy it here! No flavor, rubbery and an extremely small portion. Even skimpy on the luke warm butter. We wish we had ordered a hot dog.
Can't really speak for the service as I ordered to go. The real reason for the 1 star is both quality and price do not add up. For starters the lobster itself looks like it was taken out of a package and slapped on the bread. It had no unique taste and was far off from what a lobster roll should be. Bread was toasted to perfection but it's way to small. In total the meal came out a little short of $16 and in my opinion does not fill a single person, so don't try and share it. The side I chose was a potato salad but again there is nothing special about it. Next time to Publix it is.
Our party had Tuna Salad Sandwich, Chicken Salad Sandwich and Angus Burger. All were extremely tasty and fresh. We did not notice that the burger came with cheese on it and when my daughter asked me if I had told them not to put the cheese on it they were in the process of delivering it and overheard. Immediately they started to take it back and make her another one without being asked. I did not let them. I took the one with cheese “ to go “ back to my mom and just had them fix her another one without cheese. It showed quite a commitment to customer service to offer so quickly to resolve a problem that was not of their making. We will go back soon. You also cannot beat the prices. If I remember correctly, the burger ( large and juicy ) came with a side for under $8 and my 1/2 Sandwich with a side and iced tea was under $7. They have Maine lobster also and soups and salads. The place was clean and bright and right next door to GOLD IN ART on Donnelly.
My Chicken Salad sandwich was delicious. My husband's Lobster roll was skimpy and small. The clam chowder was average. I would go back, but he won't.
Awesome food,was good,price was right
The lobster rolls were done right. Had with a cup of chowdah and potato salad. All very good and can't wait to go for more. Great service and job for a small place.
I specifically asked if the lobster roll was served warm and was told yes. After spending almost 30 bucks I was served a COLD sandwich and was told oh what a misunderstanding the roll is warm, the lobster is cold. Very upsetting.
Such e good Lobster Roll
The lobster sandwich and potato salad were great! I am only here for the day but will try to come back for a second meal. Someone mentioned in a previous comment that they serve it on a paper plate, did not even notice because I was too busy enjoying the delectable meal in front of me.For the price of the sandwich, you definitely get a lot of lobster (which was my concern) but I was definitely impressed. The server was patient and friendly as well. Must try if you love lobster.
Small, clean and friendly. Perfect for downtown Mt Dora. The Lobster Rolls were dekicious and filling, well worth the price. They have an interesting menu and we will return. Give them a try.
Let’s Do a Maine Lobster Roll is a fabulous lunch spot in downtown Mount Dora. We were welcomed into the restaurant with kindness and hospitality. I took my mother, who grew up in New England, and she was very impressed by the authenticity and quality. For a lobster roll, the price is very good and you receive a generous helping of lobster without fillers (mayo comes on the side). We enjoyed a side of three bean salad with our roll which was also delicious and fresh. The service was outstanding from beginning to end.
Love it! Great service and awesome food. Thanks Oscar and Family
Small venue in downtown Mount Dora. Maybe 12 tables. Casual atmosphere. Up to date point of sale system (order taken on iPad like machine at table).
Great spot in Mt Dora. Nice lobster roll, very busy spot in the downtown area. Restaurant was full, so food was understandably slow in coming out. Will definitely go back again.
Delicious food really good and excellent service
Let’s Do was a huge disappointment. Both of us ordered the lobster roll and coleslaw. The lobster roll had plenty of meat. But it ended there. No seasoning, nothing but chopped lobster on a piece of bread. If you’ve had a good lobster roll before, you will be disappointed. The coleslaw wasn’t any better. Shredded cabbage with some lettuce chunks mixed in. No vinegar, mayo or seasoning. At $29 plus tax, there are much better choices. I will definitely not return.
